PRIVATE SESSIONS VIA SKYPE
This half-hour chair yoga session begins with a centering and breathing exercise to calm and relax you, followed by stretches to relieve tension in your neck and shoulders. Julia will lead you in a guided visualization that addresses your own needs and provide you with a mudra that you can practice on your own.

What do you do for supine poses when someone in your class has vertigo? How can you make a student comfortable in child pose when he has foot cramps? Or another has knee issues? What can students with wrist problems do for downward facing dog? Julia will address these questions and teach various modifications for many beloved yoga poses in the first half of this workshop.
In the second half of the workshop Karla will teach effective assists for yoga poses applying her knowledge as an Alexander Teacher, dancer, and teacher of functional anatomy. Sometimes a small shift in the angle of a wrist and hand or the balance of the head on the spine can ease up other tensions in the body. Learn what to look for and how to do gentle hands-on adjustments with your students.
